The students have been working so hard to challenge themselves as readers and writers! It has been a very busy few months and I am proud of the progress the students have made! Please check back to the website for updates on upcoming events as the end of the school year is full of wonderful events!
On Monday, March 2, we will be participating in Read Across America day! We will stay in homeroom classes, cozy up in our pajamas, and read all day long! Of course, there will be plenty of reading activities, crafts, and special snacks to keep our kiddos excited about reading :) If you child is in my homeroom kindergarten class, please contact me about setting up a time to be a guest reader for Monday!
We are rolling hard core into nonfiction text in all grade levels! Please support your child's learning at home through researching together. I would love to see what awesome new information your child can learn on his or her own!
I hope everyone had the chance to review the pink graded paper packets from last week. You may have noticed that our school changed the format of the cover sheet slightly, as it is now supposed to be used for behavioral and academic concerns with the updates of academics to be provided on each teacher's classroom website. Check out your grade level's page here to see what your child has been up to in class :)
Report cards will be coming home Thursday, Jan. 15 so be on the look out :)

It’s hard to believe that the first semester of school is behind us! I am so proud of the progress we have made, the friendships we've created, and all of the hard work that our kiddos put forth each and every day in the classroom! Each child is so very near and dear to my heart, and I am thrilled that I will get to see my sweethearts tomorrow! I am looking forward to hearing all about the adventures of their winter break J
It is my new year’s resolution to update my website WEEKLY so that all of you know the wonderful learning that your child is doing in my classroom. I hope that you will all help keep me accountable! I will also be setting up volunteer opportunities for second semester, so if you are interested in helping our students with reading or writing please contact me at [email protected].

My, oh my it has been a busy first quarter of the school year! I am pleased to say that our kiddos are off to an AWESOME start and I know they will do great things in the second quarter as well. Just a reminder that Friday, October 31 is Character Dress Up Day. The students should bring a book that correlates to their chosen character.
