On Friday we celebrated 100 days of learning through creative writing. The students pictured their lives as a 100 year old person and described themselves using both words and an illustration. The projects are precious and very creative! My favorite things the kids described were being wrinkled and walking with a cane, playing bingo or bowling with their other old people friends, and having grandchildren :)
We are welcoming Ms. G to our first grade class! She will be our classroom assistant and has been working with the students to push their thinking on reading and writing. Continue getting back into the routine of studying sight words nightly and please let me know if you need a new list :)
I am so excited by the wonderful reading and writing gains that our kiddos have made this year! Watching them grow and gain confidence is a wonderful sight to behold :) I am looking forward to seeing them tomorrow and hearing all about their winter breaks!
